Arm Knitting Workshops for Schools
Enrichment Workshops Made for Students
-
Dream it.
Knitting is well known for its physical and mental health benefits. Mindfulness, creativity, wellbeing and confidence are all achieved by participating in a school arm knitting workshop. Students will be amazed what they can achieve in as little as two hours having no prior knitting experience! This workshop is ideal for small groups of 10 or more students and can be targeted towards all students to include more vulnerable pupils.
-
Build it.
The Chunky Needle is available to offer student tailored arm knitting workshops inclusive to all pupils in Gloucestershire schools, on Wednesdays between the hours of 10am-2pm. These workshops are suitable for Key Stage 2-5 and staff are welcome to participate. Absolute beginners are welcome and students will go home with a personally, handcrafted chunky knit blanket at the end of the workshop, guaranteed.
-
Grow it.
The arm knitting workshop includes 2 hours of professional instruction by a QTS and Advanced DBS cleared, qualified secondary school teacher, 2kg of vegan friendly acrylic wool in a colour of pupil’s choosing, and a finished chunky knit blanket. Watch your students’ creative confidence grow as they achieve success learning a new skill in a calm, reassuring and encouraging group.
